The rules that make this a club, not a comment section.
Read these before you join. Every member agrees to them, moderators enforce them, and we'd rather lose a member than bend one.
- 01Public records only
Everything we work from is a document anyone can request: FOIA responses, court files, property and transit records, archived news. If you can't source it, it doesn't go in.
- 02No contact. With anyone.
Never reach out to a family, a witness, a suspect, or their employer, neighbour, or child — online or off. Not to be helpful. Not once.
- 03No naming un-charged people
We don't publish, post, or say aloud the name of anyone who hasn't been charged. No initials, no hints, no 'everyone knows who I mean'.
- 04No doxxing
No addresses, workplaces, phone numbers, or family details of any private individual. This one gets you removed immediately, first offence.
- 05Agencies come first
If law enforcement asks us to pause or drop a case, we do it that day — and members don't continue on their own under the club's name.
- 06Speak carefully about victims
Write about people the way you'd want a stranger to write about your family. Speculation about a victim's choices isn't investigation.
Seen something that breaks these rules, inside the club or out? Tell a moderator. We take it seriously and we'll tell you what we did about it.
